Necromunda: Gang Skirmish is a turn-based strategy game that uses the official license of Necromunda, one of the most famous campaign settings from Warhammer 40K. In the Underhive (the city where practically all the action takes place), instead of controlling armies of space marines, you get to control gangs of mercenaries and renegades.
The gameplay in Necromunda: Gang Skirmish isn't exactly the same as in the miniature wargame, but it is pretty similar. You can move your characters when it's your turn and put them under cover, charge, or attack any enemy within reach. Your success depends on your attack weapon abilities and your enemy's defense.
Between battles, you get the chance to customize your gang of renegades. You can recruit new heroes, buy new weapons and armor, and get new abilities for characters that have leveled up. You can also customize the look of each of your characters, changing their hairstyles, body types and colors.
When you start out, there's only one gang available for free, but in Necromunda: Gang Skirmish you can eventually play with tons of the official gangs from the miniature wargame. And of course, all of the factions in the game have their own characters and special skills.
Necromunda: Gang Skirmish is an excellent turn-based strategy game that offers a simple and fun gameplay and pretty good graphics. It's yet another outstanding title from Legendary Games, the software developer that also brought us the great Mordheim: Warband Skirmish back in the day.
